Gozo is a small island right across the water from Malta in the Mediterranean. To reach it we had to fly to Malta, took one of the bus shuttle services to get to the port of Cirkewwa and afterwards took the Gozo ferry to the island. We hired a villa in Gozo, near the village of Xaghra which was quiet, pretty much like the rest of the island besides the capital Victoria. For those who have some spare cash, the two excursions that I would suggest are the Seaplane that will take you on a picturesque flight around the islands and leave you in Malta for the day. Be prepared to jostle for a window seat to be able to see the spectacular coast line. The plane flies fairly low so you can see a lot of details.

The second excursion is to hire a boat for the day. We paid out the extra and had the boat to ourselves which is great as the captain will take you where you wish to go, we were provided with coffee as well as afternoon tea and cooked fresh lunch of fish which has been caught that morning. We stopped off at numerous bays and swam with the fish. This was a marvelous experience. The captain told us to leap in the water with our snorkels and then he gave food to the fish.
